SHEILA MOORE has taught in both Montessori and public school kindergarten classrooms. Her writing on education and child development research has appeared in Parents Magazine, The Washington Post, and other publications. She co-authored The Little Boy Book (Clarkson Potter), now a Ballantine paperback in its 24th printing. Samson Svenson's Baby (Harper & Row), her first picture book, received a starred review in Booklist, and her poetry and fiction have been published in a number of literary journals. An advocate of sound and effective reading programs, she has worked with disadvantaged children and struggling readers for twenty-five years.
CAROL HOLSINGER, the daughter of Sheila Moore, has worked for over a decade in advertising as an art director, copywriter and creative director. Her television and print advertisements have received a number of industry accolades, including those from The One Show, the British Advertising Awards, and the Cannes International Film Festival. She currently works as a freelance writer and illustrator in New York. Abadaba Alphabet is her first book for children.
Master storyteller JIM WEISS has received over 75 awards and commendations for his Greathall Productions recordings from organizations such as The American Library Association, The Parents' Choice Foundation, and Peace Hill Press. He has been widely praised in major American and international publications. His expressive recording of Abadaba Alphabet will have youngsters reciting the verses along with him as they master the letter sounds.
